13-Year-Old Teen Sensation Alexander James Rodriguez Is The New Britpop Invasion!

The 13-year-old star who recently won the ‘Rising Star Award’ Hollywood Music in Media Award alongside music royalty John Legend, Justin Timberlake, and Kenny Loggins, has actually been living in Los Angeles since the age of 4.

But, the singer caused a scene like he just stepped off the airplane from England, celebrating his first release in 2021.

“This song definitely has a more mature vibe to that of My Crew, Your Smile and Up To You, which I released last year. Doesn’t Matter To Me is about forbidden love, between either cultures or upbringing and how it doesn’t matter what people say, love will find a way,” Rodriguez said in a recent interview.

He continued, “I wanted to make a music video that was simple and almost one day of walking and reflecting, in order to follow the lyrics. It is my first ballad, so I really had to pull on the emotional heartstrings."

Adding, “We filmed at the iconic ‘Thunder Road’ from Grease (1978) under 6th Street bridge in DTLA.”

Obviously, from The Beatles to One Direction...Alexander has some pretty big boots to fill. But, he is a triple threat being well-known for his acting chops and voiceover work. As you can see from his Instagram swagger, the young teen has adopted his new home of SoCal – from Vans to surfing, skateboarding, and LA-dreaming.

His laid-back personality and British accent have clearly made him the new photographer favorite in Hollywood!
