NeNe Leakes On Film Set After Quitting 'RHOA', Spotted In LA

By Ryan Naumann

Former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes is back on set only weeks after announcing she would not be returning to the Bravo reality show.

NeNe shared a ton of behind-the-scenes footage on her Instagram story. The first snap included a shot of her filming a scene with two other actresses. NeNe is seen at the hair salon while discussing an important issue with her girlfriend.

In another photo, taken on set, NeNe stares at her phone while looking glamorous in a track suit.

She captioned the post, "You can't allow people to control your destiny."

After filming wrapped, NeNe appeared to hit the town in Los Angeles. She posted a video of her dining with a friend while enjoying a large cotton candy treat. She wrote, "LA Nights" on the post.

The specifics of the project NeNe is working on are unclear at the moment. She appears to be taking a bunch of meetings in Los Angeles for future projects now that she won't be shooting "Real Housewives of Atlanta", which took up a big chunk of her time.

The set life post comes after Tamara Tattles reported NeNe demanded Bravo pay her $125,000 to show up to Cynthia's wedding earlier this month.

The outlet said Bravo and producers quickly shut down the negotiations. They reportedly wanted NeNe to sign up for an additional 6-8 episodes of "Real Housewives of Atlanta" for a $750,000 paycheck. NeNe reportedly rejected the offer. She did not attend the wedding.

Earlier this year, Tamara Tattles was the first to report on NeNe not returning for another season.

The outlet said NeNe and the network were fighting over the terms of her contract. The producers wanted to bring back the OG star but she wanted a play or pay clause included in it.

According to the outlet, the clause would have had Bravo pay NeNe for every episode of the season regardless if she appeared or not. The two could not reach an agreement and NeNe decided to walk away for good. Since leaving, NeNe has publicly accused the network of forcing her out and accused them of racism.

She publicly called out her former friends Andy Cohen and Wendy Williams. She accused the two of using her for ratings and disparaging her during an interview. NeNe took issue with Andy having Wendy on "Watch What Happens Live" and trashing her for leaving the show.

Regardless, NeNe has a busy slate of projects. Prior to her "Housewives" announcement, E! announced they had greenlit a new fashion show starring NeNe. The show is called Glamsquad Showdown and features former "Fashion Police" host Brad Goreski.
