NeNe Leakes All Smiles After Stepping On Set For Mystery Project

By Whitney Vasquez

Former "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes is showing how happy she is post-Bravo. The 52-year-old ex-Georgia peach flashed her pearly whites to showcase her gorgeous smile just days after appearing on a mystery set. After a summer of rumors, NeNe Leakes announced in September that she would not be back for season 13 of "RHOA."

Releasing her official statement weeks ago, the "Housewives" OG told her loyal fans that she was out but didn't say her departure would be forever.

In her latest Instagram shot, NeNe Leakes showed that she's not regretting her departure decision in the slightest. Posing in a plain white t-shirt, the former reality boss sported ripped jeans to go with her smiling shot. Looking at peace with her conclusion, NeNe Leakes couldn't hide her dazzling pearly whites over the weekend.

Sitting on a cheetah print chair, she dropped the happy snap to her Instagram on Saturday, October 17, and wished her nearly four million Instagram followers a "Happy Saturday."

Leaving 'RHOA'

When revealing she was leaving "RHOA," NeNe Leakes took to her YouTube and said, “I have made the hard and very difficult decision to not be a part of Real Housewives of Atlanta season 13." Continuing by saying it "wasn’t an easy decision for me," the star stated the negotiations with the network grew tiresome for her.

“I have been on an extremely, extremely long, exhausting, tiring, emotional negotiation,” she said. “There has been a lot of emotion flying on both sides."

Saying bon voyage to the network, her fans, and her team, NeNe Leakes added, “It has been just amazing. Thank you guys so much.” Following her announcement, Bravo daddy Andy Cohen addressed her departure on social media. Posting a photo with NeNe Leakes, he paid tribute by writing her a thoughtful send-off.

Calling her an "icon of the genre," he said she was "a gif and catchphrase machine." He also stated that she was "always A BLAST." Concluding, Andy Cohen said he was "going to miss Nene on the show," but is "hoping we work together again soon and will remain in each other’s orbits forever.”

Slamming Andy Cohen & Wendy Williams:

That didn't last long though. Weeks later, NeNe Leakes put Andy Cohen and Wendy Williams on blast. When Williams appeared on "Watch What Happens Live," she commented that NeNe would be back on "RHOA" and any spin-off featuring Leakes would be "boring."

NeNe Leakes retaliated on social media following Williams' appearance, scolding both Wendy and Cohen for using her to "help with their poor ratings." She then accused Wendy of drug use. "She on cocaine so they should stop using her to talk," NeNe tweeted.
